Prof Dr Samuel Santos Ribeiro
Biography
Prof Dr Samuel Santos Ribeiro is currently the Clinical Director and Scientific Coordinator at IVIRMA Lisbon and an Invited Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
He was born on, in Benoni (Johannesburg). In 1993, he moved to Portugal where he performed most of his education until ultimately obtaining his Medical Degree in 2007 from Nova Medical School (Lisbon). Between 2008 and 2015, he followed a Specialty Training Programme in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Hospital Santa Maria (Lisbon). In 2013, he initiated both a two-year Clinical Scholars Research Training organized by Harvard Medical School (Boston) and his Subspecialty Training in Reproductive Medicine at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine of Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel (Brussels). He was a consultant of Reproductive Medicine and Genetics at Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel.

Research & Education
The main focus of his ongoing research is the relationship between infertility treatments and endometrial receptivity. Professor Santos-Ribeiro has authored and co-authored 80+ articles in international peer reviewed journals as well many chapters in textbooks regarding ART. He also currently serves as associated editor for Human Reproduction and is a board member of the ESHRE SIG on Safety and Quality of ART.
